Non-rheumatologists often use colchicine inappropriately to prevent gout flares, either inadequately treating patients  or more leaving them on colchicine when it is no longer needed. Dr. Michael George of the University of Pennsylvania. In this short film he describes what and his team learned about colchicine prescribing in the real world, and why it's important for rheumatologists to think ahead when they offer this drug to prevent flares.
