Radiologists noticed an asymptomatic mass in the right hip of a patient who had presented with left hip pain. She denied any trauma. What's going on?

This 87-year-old woman presented with left hip pain. A post-operative radiograph showed no right sided gluteal mineralization, but an MRI revealed an asymptomatic mass. She denied any trauma.

 MRI demonstrated a right gluteal mass with a prominent edema pattern in the adjacent musculature.
