Rheumatology Network is an online information resource for healthcare providers who treat patients with rheumatic disease. We publish news reports from medical conferences and articles that summarize some of the most significant studies published in peer-reviewed journals. We also serve as the voice of the healthcare provider. We invite our readers to share their clinical experience and opinions in op-eds, reviews, case studies, image IQs and in video or audio podcast blogs.
In addition to covering the entire range of rheumatic conditions, we encourage healthcare priofessionals to submit content that focuses on practice, patient and payor issues. If there is an issue that is important to you as a healthcare provider, we want to hear about it.
To submit proposals for content, please contact the editor.
Types of Articles
Style and Voice
A conversational tone written in active tense is preferred for clarity and efficiency. We edit manuscripts to achieve this style, but not to alter medical content.
References should be numbered and listed in the order cited in the article. Each citation should be written as follows: Author names, journal article title, journal name, date of publication.
We welcome images appropriate to the article. This includes clinical photographs, radiographic images, charts and graphs. JPeg files are preferred. We do not accept images or graphs that have been previously published elsewhere.
Please include your academic title or name of practice with a short description of your expertise. Please limit the bio to 200 words.
If previously agreed, an honorarium will be provided upon publication. Please specify whether the honorarium should be paid to only you; to be divided among the two, three, or four authors; or to be donated to a nonprofit charity or organization (please supply the TAX ID # and the organization’s contact person’s name and telephone number).
Only Original Articles
As a matter of editorial policy, we will not publish articles that have been written by, or whose development was funded by, a pharmaceutical company, public relations agency, or similar outside source.
Articles published must be original. We cannot publish previously published content.
