The newly designed Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) Web site, http://www.ccfa.org, is devoted to providing accurate, unbiased information about inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and the progress being made toward finding cures. Many of an estimated 1 in 200 Americans who have IBD are in need of information and support for treatment and ongoing disease management, according to the CCFA.

The new Web site was structured for 2 distinct audiences: (1) patients and caregivers and (2) professionals who work in the field of IBD, including physicians, nurses, and researchers. Key features include an all-new "newly diagnosed" section; an extensive resource library, featuring Web casts, brochures, fact sheets, and videos; and an enhanced directory and search capabilities for those looking for a health care professional. The CCFA, the largest voluntary nonprofit organization dedicated to curing Crohn disease and ulcerative colitis, worked with the Pittsburgh-based digital marketing agency BarkleyREI on rebranding and developing the site.
