As you know, the evidence for a benefit of exercise in knee OA is strong. Guidelines from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), and the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) all recommend that patients with knee OA undertake some form of regular low-impact exercise, to reduce pain and stiffness and increase physical function.
