Most women with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases will have successful pregnancies with the aid of medical planning, treatment and monitoring. These can be high risk pregnancies for both mother and child. The American College of Rheumatology recently issued treatment guidelines for the management of reproductive health in patients with rheumatic or musculoskeletal disease.
